Choose a supported browser and device

Use Chrome on a computer for the full workspace, or quick entry on a phone or tablet.

Complete initial Workspace setup on a supported computer before using quick entry.

Full workspace on a computer

Use current Google Chrome on Windows or macOS, with a keyboard and mouse or trackpad. The desktop design target is a browser viewport of at least 1280 × 720 CSS pixels.

Desktop Safari, Edge, Firefox and other unsupported desktop browsers show Please Use Google Chrome when you select Sign In, Sign Up or Open xBoox. Choose Close to dismiss the Portal notice, or Help Center for guidance. Direct app access shows the same instruction; Close returns to the Portal. The notice does not sign you out or delete your saved records.

Quick entry on phones and tablets

Phones and tablets use the mobile quick-entry experience. An iPad remains in this experience with a keyboard, mouse, trackpad, landscape screen or desktop-site request. Available mobile workflows include Dashboard, Expense, Transfer and Receipt Capture under their existing eligibility rules. A desktop-only link displays Please Use a Computer with a return to Dashboard.

An iPhone or iPad Home Screen icon opens the mobile experience as a standalone Web App without a browser address bar. The desktop Safari restriction does not block this mobile experience. Screen rotation, window width and old Desktop View preferences do not switch a mobile device to the full workspace.

Tablet forms use the same single-column workflows with a centered content area. Financial calculations and Workspace permissions are the same as the existing recording workflows.

Public pages

The Portal, Help Center, help language selector and public legal pages remain accessible in other browsers. Browser/device detection is a compatibility aid; devices that disguise their identity may not be identified reliably.

Smaller desktop windows and higher display scaling

The desktop workspace keeps its baseline arrangement when the browser has less space. The left menu keeps its width and can scroll vertically. The right work area can scroll horizontally and vertically instead of changing to a phone layout. Scroll to reach off-screen content, or enlarge the browser window or reduce display scaling for more room. This does not switch a phone or tablet to the desktop experience.
